JORGE SANTANA (1978)Cover Painting by John Kacere. Design by Milton Glaser Inc. Some sleeves are a work of art, this one being in a literal sense, featuring a Kacere photorealist painting typical of his work which, on the whole, focused on the mid-rif sections of female bodies in lingerie. The sleeve was designed by Milton Glaser of ‘I Love N.Y.’ fame, although could have been done by someone in his studio rather than the man himself.
PASSPORT “DOLDINGER” (1973)Illustration and design by Wandrey’s Studio, Hamburg. This is such a cool sleeve. The eyes and glasses remind me of Chevy Chase for some reason. It’s like something Ed Bangers Records would do now, in fact, they probably already have.
